The table below shows the percentage of commuters using four types of transport to travel to work in four cities in 2022. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table provides information about the proportion of workers who commuted by car, , bicycle and on foot in four cities — Amsterdam, , Melbourne and Osaka — in 2022. , the car was the dominant mode of in and Melbourne, commuters in Amsterdam and Osaka relied far more on cycling and respectively. had the highest rate of car use, with 68% of workers driving to their jobs, and Melbourne was not far behind at 61%. In both cities, accounted for roughly a quarter of journeys, while cycling was rare, at only 3% and 5% respectively. The pattern in the other two cities was strikingly different. In Amsterdam, 42% of commuters cycled to work, which was the highest figure for any type in the table, and just 24% travelled by car. Osaka, , recorded the greatest reliance on , at 55%. Walking was a minor mode everywhere, Osaka's figure of 12% was noticeably higher than the 4% that was recorded in .
