Dear Tomas, I've finally unpacked the last box, so it's about time I wrote to thank you properly for everything you did during the move. Honestly, I don't know how I would have managed without you. Giving up your entire weekend was incredibly generous, especially since I know how busy you've been at work lately. You didn't just carry endless boxes up three flights of stairs — you also fixed the wobbly bookshelf and reassembled my bed when I'd completely given up on the instructions. It made what could have been a stressful weekend genuinely fun. Since then, things have settled down nicely. The living room finally looks like a home rather than a warehouse, and I've met a couple of the neighbours, who seem lovely. The only disaster so far was the washing machine flooding the kitchen, but even that is fixed now.
